Great Tips for Baby Skin Care

The skin of the newborn is soft and delicate, so that the child must be treated with care. In general, there is a popular belief that children even have to bathe every day. Not so is the case. In all the changes in diet and diapers, wiping his mouth and nose, older children should be bathed every other day. But even with this it is necessary to obtain hygiene, especially take care of their funds.

The nappy is an absolutely essential equipment for children. But the diaper canalso cause diaper rash. As the diaper is always in contact with the skin very soft, it creates a warm and humid that favors the growth of bacteria. This is reinforced by the constant friction causing chafing. This leads to a problem of unpleasant and painful for the child.

Baby's skin is very sensitive and need to care much. The outer layer is not fully developed elastic fibers. Thus the sensitive skin is vulnerable to damage and is verysensitive to the touch.

Since the production of melanin is low in children, exposure to the sun should be avoided, except for a few minutes to absorb vitamin D from sunlight.Even exposure to the sun more easily burn the skin and cause friction.

Children need special care of the skin, with frequent changes of diapers, towels and cleaning continues in the area of the diaper, and around the mouth and nose. If not managed carefully the possibility of infection of the skin and damages are high.

Avoid irritants such as harsh soaps and detergents. Always use a mild, gentle soap and shampoo for the baby, while. Bathing creams and lotions for childrenavailable to use and secure.
If your child goes chairs, be sure to clean the area thoroughly with warm water and gentle cleaning products.

Pat the area dry with a soft, baby powder in the power sector. This helps to reduce friction between the skin and clothing, and protects against the penetration of irritants through the skin or foreign.

Keep your baby's skin dry, not humid. Apply talcum powder, if you feelmoist skin, especially around the area of the diaper. You can avoid the excessive moisture under the skin using creams and lotions for children.

Dress your child in loose clothes members. The warm nights of the child rather than to cover with a thin layer with a towel or blanket thinking. Have diapers and clothes that he or she is wearing are made of fine cotton that is soft to the touch.

Loose-fitting clothing allows air circulation and keep the baby dry and comfortable, far awaythe humid heat of summer.

If the child grows, it is easier to manage the care of his skin. He or she must still cream in winter, but his strength more than other children.

Leachco Safer Bather - Infant Bath Pad - Blue Fish Review

I tried a plastic tub at first with my first son and it just seemed so big & hard (even with a towel under him) on his little tender body. I received one of these safer bathers as a gift and was immediately in love with it! It's soft, safe, and I used it well into my son's second year of bathing. It keeps the heat of the water in it so their little bodies stay nice and warm. When he was older, it was great for him to sit on while he played in the tub.

It rings out easily and once hung up to dry, it is dry and ready to go by the next bathing. Mine never smelled or got musty or mildewy. We just had our second baby and I bought a new one for him, never even considering another option (even though I had several offers from friends and family for the other tubs). Honestly, I would have used my first son's bather, but we had finally thrown it away thinking we were done having kids - ha! surprise!

I highly recommend this for any new parent. Also - until your newborn can be bathed, it is a great soft place to set your little one while you sponge bath them.

Perfect for Newborn to 6 months! - Toni Cunningham -
I bought this Bath pad to replace the insert in my plastic baby tub that I was using. My daughter would slide off of the old insert that came with the original tub. This bath pad works so well. She feels so secure and comfortable on it. It fills with water from the plastic tub and keeps her warm throughout her bathtime. The one thing you must do is allow it to drip dry after each bath. It comes with a plastic hanger which is removable during bathtime that you can hang it with for easy drying. I've washed the pad a few times to get rid of the slight moldy smell it got after forgetting to leave it out to dry and it comes out great after the wash! She is now 6 months old and we are going to move on to the sister product Leachco Bath 'N Bumper - Cushioned Bath Tub - Blue Fishwhich allows her to sit up more during bathtime.

Couldn't bath him without it! - H. Kopmeier - TN USA
I recently bought this item despite some of the negative replies about the mildew. My child was so uncomfortable in the plastic tub I originally used. This item was a godsend. My baby is now 5 month old and over 20 pounds and cannot sit up yet. His little legs are so tubby I think he would have a hard time fitting in the little plastic seat bathers and forget the small plastic tubs. I can lie him on this and it supports him and doesn't hurt his back and I can turn him over to bathe both sides. I have had this item for over 2 months and no mildew problems. I don't recommend the washing machine because it messed up the fabric when it went on the spin cycle. I just hang it up and let it drip dry and so far no problems! It's not an item you can resell but it definately helped me out and I highly recommend it.

Newborns Best Friend - Kate Renee - DFW, Tx
Saw this bath pad, read the reviews, and had to have it! Now, I absolutely love it! It's the perfect pad for 1 parent to bath their infants! My experience with the big, bulky, plastic tubs is that infants tend to slide down while bathing them. Thus forcing you to have 4 hands instead of 2. With this pad, it so easy for me or my husband to bath our son with out any assistance from the other. My son, absolutely loves his bath pad. While he has a tendency to pooh on it... it does wash up nicely. I just drain it, then throw it in the washer. My only complaint is that when you wash it, the foam filling does become a little distorted. But it's not a big deal! HIGHLY recommend! Can't wait to buy it as a shower gift for a friend!
